Trudy becomes a major hurricane, with a watch up to Cabo Corrientes
Early Friday Trudy was a category 3 hurricane about 540 km south-southeast of Manzanillo. A hurricane watch now runs from Punta San Telmo to Cabo Corrientes, just south of the bay; it is forecast to pass near the coast Saturday night into Sunday, with dangerous surf spreading north.
