Vance eases to Category 1, still far offshore with no coastal watches

Early Sunday, Vance was about 530 km south of Manzanillo with 140 km/h winds, creeping north-northwest. The hurricane center expects slow weakening and rain for Colima and western Jalisco through Thursday; its swells keep surf and rip currents dangerous along the coast.
