Vance holds at Category 2 well offshore, with dangerous surf due
Early Saturday, Vance was about 750 km south-southeast of Manzanillo with 175 km/h winds, moving slowly north-northwest. The hurricane center expects it to weaken from tonight. No coastal watches are in effect, but its swells bring life-threatening surf and rip currents into next week.
