Evoke The Spirit
Brittney Borjeson's shop on Calle Marlín for things made in Mexico: Wixárika beaded and yarn-painted skulls, naturally dyed rugs, ceramics and textiles, much of it one of a kind and only sold here. Open daily from 10am to 8pm.
What to know
- The Friday market, Mercado del Pueblo, runs about 10am to 2pm from November to April on Avenida Revolución by the bridge. Bring pesos and ask before photographing vendors. airial.travel
- Shops and galleries have fixed prices. Bargain lightly at stalls if at all; hard haggling with artisans is frowned upon. bucketlistbri.com
- Most boutiques take cards, though some won't accept American Express; market stalls and street sellers want cash. bucketlistbri.com
Galería La Hamaca
